Our Bands

We are very keen to support and encourage musicians and invite all brass and percussion players to join us.  Instruments are provided by the band for a small annual hireage fee.  We have three bands, to cater for musicians of all levels.

The Beginner Learners Group provides one-on-one or group tuition for learners aged 8 years to adult.  Contact tutor Ken Austin for more information.  Phone 7584429, Email: ken.austin@clear.net.nz

The JAY Band caters for intermediate level players.  This group attends playouts, regional competitions, and from time to time join with our senior band for special events.

New Plymouth Brass is our senior band which competes nationally in the B Grade, holds regular concerts, marches in parades and provides many other musical services within the community.
